The Christian College Librarians annual conference is scheduled to meet on the Harding University campus on Thursday, May 21 and Friday, May 22. Librarians and staff members from colleges and universities associated with the North American Restoration Movement will gather to discuss changes and current events in the academic library world. In addition to local discussions, conference attendees will be able to tour the Harding History house and visit the Clinton Presidential Library and Central High Memorial in Little Rock. Featured speakers include Dr. Jack Shock, who will discuss the year he spent as a speechwriter in the Clinton White House and Dr. Cliff Ganus, Jr. who will share memories of his long years of association with the university.
The first meeting of the Christian College Librarians (CCL) was held at Oklahoma Christian College on May 10, 1974. Recent conference locations have included Abilene Christian University in 2007 and Pepperdine University in 2008. In addition to the roles they fill on their respective campuses, CCL Librarians also volunteer their time to chronicle the contents of Restoration Movement periodicals for Restoration Serials Index. Each year, a scholarship is awarded to a graduate student affiliated with the group who is pursuing a master's in an Information related field.
