A project that started as a hopeful possibility is nearing completion. In the fall of 2009, the Brackett Library announced online access to the earliest years of Harding's year book, the Petit Jean. New volumes have been added on a regular basis, and the online collection now includes all Petit Jeans through the 1989-1990 school year.In addition to the collection of year books, the library has made several other pieces of Harding history available online. A new web page, http://digital.harding.edu, provides access to the year books, the library's Flickr collection of over 5,000 photos, and to a group of videos from Harding's past.
The videos have been made available through Harding University's iTunesU service. A free download is necessary in order to view the video collection, which includes presentations used to raised funds for building the Benson Auditorium. Other historic videos include a collection of patriotic cartoons produced by the university during the presidency of Dr. George S. Benson.
