New Feature! What-are-you-reading Wednesday

Hey Lisa Wagar! What are you reading?

I'm making my way through the Harry Potter series right now! I was truly convinced that it was all just a huge fad, and that the books weren't even really that great, and people were just reading them because it was "the thing to do." But after we spent Christmas Day having a Potter Movie Marathon, my dear friend Manon finally convinced me to read them. :) And I'm so happily surprised at how well they are written! J.K. Rowling has created a stunning world of wizardry, but even more importantly she has created characters that feel like your best friends. The dynamics between Harry, Ron, Hermione and the rest of their crew are sometimes hilarious, sometimes heartbreaking, and always believable. It's hard to read the books and not relate characters and situations to your own family of friends. I would highly recommend the books to anyone and everyone! You don't have to be into fantasy or wizardry to love these books... anyone who has depended on friendship through rough times will appreciate the Harry Potter series!

Lisa can often be found at the Circulation Desk. After serving as a student worker for several years, Lisa joined the library in a full time position this past fall. If you're interested in applying for a student work job, Lisa is the person to talk to!
