Student workers select for National Library Workers Month

April is National Library Workers month so this month we are honoring our student workers! After polling the entire group for their selection, Khaled Hosseini's A Thousand Splendid Suns won the vote. Why did the students choose this book?

Student Reference Assistant Elena Moore stated, "Although fictional, this story of the unlikely friendship between two women exposes what life is really like for many women in the Middle East. It was heart breaking, but inspiring. This book was even better the second time than the first!"

Nicole Dill, who also works as an SRA agreed. "It's an uplifting and moving story about something that is really happening. Everyone should read it to help them understand a culture that is very different from ours."
